Tips:
Remember: The first step in
preparing for your future is to explore your career options. Look for a career
that revolves around activities you enjoy. Then, if education beyond high school
is required, look for colleges/universities or technical schools that prepare
you for your career choice. Visit as many of the college campuses as you can. Be
sure to get prior approval from an administrator before you are absent from
school.
Don't Delay! Apply for admission
now if you plan to attend a major college
or university! Submitting an application for admission is a prerequisite for
academic scholarship consideration. Campus housing often fills up early in your
senior year. It is extremely important to apply now and send your deposit to
save your place if you are accepted.
ACT or SAT? It is important that college-bound
seniors have a competitive ACT or SAT1 score before December 1st of their senior
year. ACT encourages registration online, see the link at top of page. SAT also
encourages registration online, see the link at top of page. Most colleges
accept either ACT or SAT1, contact the college admissions office to find out
which is accepted.
The Common Application: If you are applying to
several different schools, they may accept the same application. To find out,
visit: Welcome to the
Common App!.
